PotterProv
An improvised version of all 7 Harry Potter books. Shows would run once a month, for seven months and then would return the following year. I ran Potterprov for six years, hosting and producing the live event.
I honestly, loved doing this show. It taught me so much about producing, talent management and general stage presence. By the end of it’s lifespan, I was looking to start a nationwide tour, bringing magic across Canada.
Improv:
The board game
A show where two teams of four improvisors compete against each other by playing a board game based on improv, live in front of an audience. Dice, game pieces, laughs, ITBG had it all.
For this show, I created a fully functional board game that was then played on stage. There was a giant board, game pieces that moved around and oversized dice for players to roll. ITBG was the first game I designed and taught me how to build a community around the show.
cOMEDYcON
A Shortform improv comedy show where four performers take suggestions from the audience and perform several different improv games. Every prompt for a scene is tied to geek culture and used to create hilarious moments with characters we know and love. What’s Batman like at a dinner party? What does McGonagall do on summer holiday? Was Yoda ever in a frat? All this, and more!
ComeyCon is put up mostly at different comic conventions around Canada. Through this show I learned how to cater my content to a very specific audience. Nothing like direct feedback about a subject from hundreds of passionate fans all at once.
